Attend an Open House!
Open House & Shadow Day Options: We encourage prospective families to spend a school day with us through our Open House & Shadow Day programs. Students are immersed in the classroom for a day with their peers, while parents visit with administrators teachers and students through a variety of programs. R.S.V.P. required.

Established in 1948, Powhatan School is an independent PK-8 Day School accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and is a member of both the National Association of Independent Schools and Independent Education. Powhatan School opened the 2016-17 school year with an enrollment of 244 students. The average class size is 13 students per class with two classes per grade. Powhatan serves families in Clarke County, Frederick County, Western Loudoun County, Warren County, Winchester City and the panhandle of West Virginia.
