Fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Bell, authored an article published in the 2019 Winter edition of Vision, the magazine produced by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS). The theme of the issue is Active Learning Spaces and is designed to showcase new and innovative classroom design. Mrs. Bell’s piece, entitled Intentional and Engaged Learning Spaces in a Fifth Grade Classroom, explores her experiences with creating an active, student-focused learning environment through the use of flexible seating.
