Powhatan School Wins National Marketing Award

Powhatan School won a 2017 Bronze InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Award last week for its school blog in the national competition that recognizes excellence in private and independent school marketing and communications sponsored by InspirED School Marketers, a website that provides “brilliant ideas and brain food” for private school administrators around the globe. The entries were judged by a panel of 66 experts who are professionals in peer schools or businesses that specialize in school marketing and were scored on creativity, impact, design, copy, photography and overall appeal.

Powhatan won the Bronze Award in the Inbound Marketing / Single Blog Post category. “I was pleased to see the selected blog post was one that highlighted an example of leadership opportunities for middle school students. I love that our older students have numerous opportunities to work with younger students as a part of their education and growth,” said Mrs. Scarborough, Head of School. “It is one of the things that drew me to Powhatan and that is something special about a K-8 educational setting.  Additionally Mike Hatfield, our Admissions Director at Powhatan, did a fabulous job capturing in his video this important aspect of a Powhatan experience.”
