Updated Show Time
Due to the cancellation last week, the eighth grade performance of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018.
It’s Shakespeare Week!
We hope you plan to join us Friday night at 7pm as the eighth grade presents Julius Caesar.
An interesting twist to the play this year is a change in the time period. The play is set in an alternate history, with Rome being a Soviet Satellite in the early 1990’s. This provided for an excellent challenge for students to hone critical thinking skills and creativity!
“Experience is the teacher of all things.” ~Julius Caesar
In fact, the performance of and preparation for a production, like Julius Caesar, is a terrific example of fostering 21st Century Skills through:
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Communication Skills
- Critical Thinking
All week we’ve explored many of these 21st Century Skills both directly and indirectly with a series of blog posts. We hope you enjoy the journey of learning through Shakespeare in the posts below just as much as you enjoy watching the performance. Click on an image below to learn more about each activity!
