We learn not for school, but for life.
The advisor plays a critical role in the well-being of each student in the Upper School. Having moved from the security of the self-contained classroom to the departmentalized structure of the Upper School, the student needs to have an adult to whom to turn for assistance, advice, or a sympathetic ear. The advisor fills this need. Each student is assigned to a faculty member based on the student’s grade level and information gleaned at end-of-year staffing meetings. Our advisory program utilizes “The 7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens” curriculum. Listen in as we sit down to talk to Mrs. Robb, Upper School Coordinator, as she talks about the advisement program and how it fits into our mission.
