Thanks to a truly transformational gift from the Ferrell Family, this summer our kindergarten and first grade classrooms were renovated. The classrooms are now brighter, flexible and include more open learning spaces, enabling broadened exploration in science, creative play and art – yet still providing the quiet spaces needed for our individualized language arts instruction. Part of that renovation included creating a “kid friendly” kitchen, designed specifically with our youngest learners in mind.
Kindergarten explored the kitchen with a fun cooking activity last week. Of course, at this time of year almost every recipe includes some type of apple or pumpkin ingredient. Enjoy this quick video as our Kindergarteners, joined by a special guest, make their own apple and pumpkin Play Dough:
