Jan Wagner is a native of Caracas, Venezuela, and has been living in Winchester, Virginia, since 2002 when he was appointed Professor of Music at Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University. He has been a professional orchestral conductor since 1995 and has conducted major orchestras throughout Europe, North and South America and Australia. He speaks fluent Spanish, English and German and has previously taught Spanish, English and German at the Berlitz School of Languages. He is married to Anchi Wagner who is currently the Spanish Instructor at the Powhatan School.
