An Afternoon with Drew Gilpin Faust ’60

One of our most notable alumni, Dr. Drew Gilpin Faust ‘60, President Emerita of Harvard University, will return to Powhatan’s campus and address students and faculty. Parents and alumni are welcome to attend. Her memoir, Necessary Trouble: Growing Up at Midcentury will be hot off the presses and she will be available for a book signing after the presentation. Books will be available for purchase.

Leading Innovation: A Discussion about the Future of Education

In celebration of community educators, Powhatan is hosting a panel of thought-leaders to discuss critical issues and opportunities in the field of education. Join Powhatan alumna Dr. Drew Gilpin Faust ‘60, and other educational leaders for an evening of thoughtful discussion about the future of education. 75th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration!

Join students, current and former faculty and alumni on campus for a special event filled with fun for the whole family on September 23, 2023 from 11am – 4pm.

You will be able to connect with current and former faculty and staff, reunite with fellow classmates, earn Post and Rail points with a variety of fun activities, tour the campus and Crocker Conservancy, enjoy live music and pottery demonstrations,and watch our alumni challenge one another at a Post vs. Rail volleyball match. Food trucks will be available for the family and beverages will be provided.
