Bio: Jess spent 4 engaging years teaching third grade in Loudoun County, with 2 years as Lead Teacher, and two years in Winchester Public Schools: 1 in third grade and 1 as PK-4 Librarian. She served on STEAM Committee for three years for LCPS, held weekend outdoor education programs once a month, presented at Virginia Association of School Librarians Conference and is a former Virginia Master Naturalist. She is working on completing her Mindfulness for Education certificate through Antioch University. Jess also leads Powhatan’s Adventure Club, an afterschool club focused on outdoor education.
