Bio: I am a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. For two years, I taught third grade in Huntington, West Virginia, then moved to the Shenandoah Valley to continue teaching third grade for another two years in Warren County. Though this is only my fifth year teaching in a public school setting, I have held various teaching roles since I was 16 years old!

My favorite part of being an educator is spending time with kids. I also love the challenge of stringing together lessons with threads of cross-curricular instruction and project based learning that play toward student interests, strengths, and talents. I’m committed to providing a safe, positive learning environment where students can try new things, make mistakes, voice their opinions, take risks, and grow.

Hobbies: I am a recent newlywed, and I’m loving every minute of it! Some of my favorite things to do include cooking, hiking, singing in the shower, and taking long drives to see faraway friends and family.
