In its inaugural season, the Powhatan School Robotics Team made an impressive debut at the 1x Robotics Presents: Meta Broken at PWC Fairgrounds VEX V5 Competition 2025–2026: Push Back | Middle School Qualifier. Competing against a full field of established teams, our students demonstrated resilience, collaboration, and technical skill, finishing 27th out of 41 teams.

“When you step back and look at it, it really is an exceptional result for a first-year program, as new teams often place near the bottom while gaining experience,” commented Mr. Taylor, our technology teacher and Robotics Team coach. “I couldn’t have been any prouder of this group.” Notably, the team earned the Sportsmanship Award, a testament to their professionalism, integrity, and positive spirit throughout the competition!
